An election will take place to fill these positions .

Details on what the role of Site Secretary entails can be found below. If you require hard copies please get in touch.

If you would like to nominate yourself to be elected, please send a written nomination to the Town Council office either by post or via email by 12pm Wednesday 7th July 2021. Please note we will only accept self-nominations. As per Gainsborough Town Council’s Structures and Function policy paragraph 11.9, ‘…. any person removed from the office of Site Secretary would not be considered.’

After the above date, all nominees received (following Council review and approval) will be posted to the site notice board on the Monday 19th July 2021 along with the ballot date and location. Please note each plot holder (or joint holder) can place one vote at the ballot, regardless of amount of plots owned. Those with the most votes will then be submitted to Council for approval before beginning their role. The new Secretary details will be posted on your site noticeboard once approved.

Please note that Site Secretary positions will be re-elected annually in spring ready for the new tenancy year. From 2022, election notices will be placed on the notice boards in Spring and individual letters will not be issued – except in the event of a site secretary leaving mid-term.
