Application Ref No: 144377 (22/2/22, 28 days) Proposal: Planning application for the erection of a drive thru carwash in a car park. Location: Land at KFC Roseway, Gainsborough. |
The Committee resolved to object to the application as it is located around two conservation areas Britannia Conservation Area and Gainsborough Town Conservation Area.
Policy LP25: The Historic Environment and Policy LP38: Protecting Gainsborough’s Setting and Character of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan state the effect on listed buildings and conservation areas need to be considered which we feel is not the case.
Gainsborough NPP 18 Protecting and Enhancing Heritage Assets states the need to demonstrate that the scheme preserves or enhances the Conservation Area
Committee also raise concerns over the traffic generation, vehicular access and highway safety.
Cllr Dobbie abstained from voting.
