Councillors noted apologies from Cllr Clews and Frank Charlton.
RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Remembrance Sunday & Armed Forces Day Working be confirmed and signed as a correct record.
Members noted the current position in relation to budget.
RESOLVED to order 7,500 A5 leaflets at a cost of £86.00
RESOLVED that Marks Magic Kingdom be booked for 11-2pm at the event at a cost of £220.00
RESOLVED that the fee for Face Painter will be offered at £30
RESOLVED that additional re-enactors will be booked at a cost of £395.00
After discussion Committee agreed to allocate 2 charities this year. 1 potentially being a charity that provides specially trained dogs to former service personnel to help with physical and/or mental health and 1 being a local charity within the town.
Members are to research charities and bring suggestions/options to the next meeting.
As Frank Charlton was not at the meeting, limited information was relayed to the members. Members noted as per previous years the chair of WLDC is only required to be present for the ceremony and is not required to take any action. Office to ask if Chair would like to be present for opening.
Stage timetable was noted and acknowledged as finalised, Caz Davies and Cllr Davies noted that an arena timetable will be drawn up to reflect the additional re-enactors.
Office to:
Print 150 copies of Local Resident Notices to be distributed.
Finalise and order A5 Leaflets.
Confirm entertainer.
Make copies of Risk Assessments to be available on event day.
Send a thank you letter to Unite & create Sponsor list.
Create a list of places to distribute leaflets.
Cllr Panter to visit farm in Scotter to enquire about haybales.
Cllr Davies to meet with Police.
Members agreed that the next meeting would be arranged for Friday 21 June 2019 – 9.30am
