At Tuesday’s Full Council meeting, Cllr Kenneth Woolley was elected Mayor of Gainsborough for the 2024-2025 municipal year, with Cllr Paul Key being elected the Council’s Leader.

Cllr Kenneth Woolley said: “After serving the Town Council for over 20 years, I feel immensely proud to take up the position of Mayor and look forward to representing the people of Gainsborough.”    

New Council Leader Cllr Key said: “It’s exciting times, with new projects and things developing to the next level.”

The Council would like to take the opportunity to say thank you to Cllr Caz Davies for her work throughout 2023 and 2024 while acting as both Mayoress and Mayor, as well as Cllr Richard Craig for his work as Leader throughout the last year.
