Members NOTED they were supportive of the Wilson Street & Japan Road, Gainsborough – Revocation of waiting restrictions & junction protection.

 

 

  1. HOUSING ZONE

 

Members NOTED that no further update had been received.

 

 

  1. GAINSBOROUGH TOWN NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN (Paper D)

 

Members NOTED the update.

 

It was requested to contact the Chairman of the Working Group to see if he would be happy to hold a remote meeting once the plan had been through the external examiner in order to finalise prior to the referendum.

 

 

  1. CYCLING AND WALKING ROUTE SIGNAGE

 

RESOLVED that the Town Clerk send letters to Lincolnshire County Council and West Lindsey District Council raising concerns about the following matters: –

  • Lord Street / Parnell Street signage show that there are disabled, female, and male Toilets on the Riverside Walk but these toilets have been shut down for years;
  • A covering for toilet signs directing to Roseway toilets if they are closed due to Covid-19;
  • Lord Street / Parnell Street signage directing to the Old Hall and Library is not in keeping and not of a historical nature;
  • A request that the Council be consulted on signage for the town;
  • Cycle paths be clearly marked;
  • And a request that pathways be maintained up to a standard that is DDA compliant.
