12/04/2023 CANCELLATION UPDATE

Please note the organisers of Funtopia have decided to cancel this year’s planned event in Gainsborough that would have taken place on April 16th on Marshalls Sports Ground. Here is a quote from Funtopia Company Owner, Sarah Green:

Hi everyone,

As some of you will have already heard, I’ve had to cancel all of our Funtopia events over the Easter holidays. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, but one we have had to make as the heavy rainfall over the past 6 weeks have made our grounds unsuitable and unsafe for Funtopia to open yet. The grounds are still saturated in a lot of our areas. Not only would we struggle to even get our lorry on without risking damage to the grounds, but the wet grounds would not provide enough resistance on the pegs which secure the inflatables. We need approx 5 days of dry weather for the grounds to be suitable and unfortunately we’ve not had that in time for the start of our tour.

Both myself and my partner have worked flat out over winter preparing for this year’s tour. In fact we haven’t had a day off since Christmas! Both ourselves and our team were looking forward to getting back out on the road. However, as much as we would love to open Funtopia for everyone, we are NOT willing to compromise on our visitors safety.

I would have loved to have been out with Funtopia over Easter, but not if it means providing unsafe equipment. I hope that everyone not only understands my reasons, but fully supports my decision. I will ALWAYS put safety over profits.

We have our largest tour ever this summer, with an incredible 60 dates planned! So even though we’ve lost our first 6 dates, we shall definitely be visiting nearby venues later in the summer. For a full list of our 2023 Tour dates and venues, please visit our FB page www.facebook.com/funtopiauk

The BIG day out for little kids is coming to Gainsborough for the first time ever!

Our fun-filled festival – designed especially for under 10’s, is filled with all the fun and games your family could want to make this exciting day out one to be remembered! Funtopia has high energy inflatables, role play areas, shows and competitions, character meet and greets, giant games, huge water fights, a tasty food court and more!

We even have an incredible Under 5’s area for our mini guests, filled with Bouncy Castles, Soft Play, Ball Pool, Ride On’s and other fun toys and games.

This year EVERY Funtopia will have an exclusive Autism Friendly Session at the start of every day! Especially for children who may struggle to attend a general Funtopia event. With limited numbers, no music, sensory games and activities, our Autism Friendly Session is perfect for children not only with autism, but those with SEND as well. Siblings are also welcome!

Arrive hungry and sample an array of delicious menus in our Food Court which offers sweet and savoury meals to suit all taste buds!

Don’t forget to treat those at home as you wander around our Independent Trade Stalls which have a selection of unique products for sale.

Funtopia recommend purchasing tickets in advance due to the limited numbers at their Autism Friendly Sessions, and say this regarding these sessions:

Our Autism Friendly Sessions are not only open to children with autism, but children with SEND and mobility disabilities. The morning sessions have been created especially for children who may struggle to attend a general Funtopia event. Each session has limited numbers, no music, sensory games and activities! Siblings are also welcome!
