The popular roundabout in the Danes Road children’s play park has been repaired and is back in full working order.
The roundabout was installed in 1999 and has been used by more than one generation of local children and their parents. Over the years the fun and games wore out the bearings and the roundabout, though safe, began to wobble on its axis.
The company that made the roundabout is no longer in existence and knowing the importance of the roundabout to local children and their parents the Town Council was determined to find the correct parts and repair it. After months the parts were found, and the repairs completed today.
