West Lindsey District Council currently has three PSPOs in effect.
PSPOs are intended to deal with a particular nuisance or problem in a particular area that is detrimental to the local community’s quality of life. They are designed to ensure the law-abiding majority can use and enjoy public spaces, safe from anti-social behaviour. Further information can be found on the West Lindsey District Council website.
West Lindsey District Council also has a district wide Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) in place relating to Dog Fouling, which means any individual caught dog fouling and not removing the waste can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The council can also issue Fixed Penalty Notices to any persons who do not carry an appropriate device to remove dog waste (i.e. a dog waste bag).
