Town Council Elections Uncontested

The Gainsborough Town Council elections have been returned uncontested. Please see the Notices of Uncontested Election issued by the Returning Officer below:

What happens next?

The council has the following number of vacancies:

Gainsborough Hill: 3, Gainsborough North West: 2 and Gainsborough Trent 1.

The Council may co-opt to the above vacancies within 35 days from the day by which a person elected would have taken office. If the council fails to fill the vacancies by the required date, the Returning Officer may order a further election. This will incur a cost to the Town Council.

Co-option

If you are interested to be co-opted to the council, please submit your co-option application to townclerk@gainsborough-tc.gov.uk by 31 May in time for consideration at the June meeting of the Council.
