Gainsborough Town Council and the Mayor of Gainsborough, Councillor Keith Panter, have today expressed their deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family following the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.

Prince Philip who has sadly passed away at the age of 99 served the country for many decades.

His service in the Armed Forces, tireless work for charity and the Duke of Edinburgh Award will in particular be remembered.

As a mark of respect, our flag at Richmond Park will today fly at half-mast and will remain at half-mast until after Prince Philip is laid to rest.

We are awaiting further details from West Lindsey District Council about other acts of remembrance.
