We are delighted to share the next exciting step in the transformation of the Aisby Walk Play Area Project.

Following the successful award of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we can confirm that:

Wheelscape Ltd has been commissioned to deliver the brand-new concrete skate park and Wicksteed Leisure Ltd has been commissioned to create two exciting new play areas for local children and families. CCTV will also be installed on-site.

Together, these fantastic new facilities form a part of a £440,637.44 investment in Aisby Walk, made possible through funding from:

• National Lottery Community Fund: £176,279
• Gleeson Homes (Section 106 Funding): £164,791.44
• FCC Communities Foundation: £99,567.00

The significant investment will provide modern, inclusive and accessible spaces where children, young people and families can play, socialise and stay active for years to come.

Thank you to the community who contributed to the community consultation back in 2025 and for their patience in waiting for the outcome of the grant applications. Your views helped shape the future of your park.

Work is expected to commence soon, and we are hopeful that the new facilities will be ready to welcome residents by late February 2027.

This is a once-in-a-generation investment in Aisby Walk, and we can’t wait to share the journey with you as the project takes shape.
