Nominations are now open!
Gainsborough Town Council is inviting nominations for its Citizen of the Year 2026 award.
The award celebrates a resident of the Parish of Gainsborough who has made an outstanding contribution to the town through their voluntary service, dedication and commitment to the local community.
Do you know someone who:
- gives their time to support others;
- volunteers for local groups or organisations;
- works to improve the lives of local residents;
- helps make Gainsborough a better place; or
- regularly goes above and beyond for the benefit of the community?
We want to hear about them!
Who can be nominated?
Nominees must:
- be a resident within the Parish of Gainsborough;
- be of good repute; and
- have repeatedly demonstrated outstanding voluntary service to the Parish of Gainsborough.

- the nominee’s name and address;
- their contact information, where available; and
- a statement explaining why you believe they deserve to be named Citizen of the Year 2026.

The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at Full Council on Tuesday 6 October 2026.
